Electrical Issues

If there is a fault with the electrics and the fuse board has tripped then you will first need to try and establish if there are any faulty items which is causing the electrics to trip, such asa faulty kettle, blown light bulb or too many items being plugged into one socket. The best way to detect the area of the house causing the issue to look at the fuse board and seeing which switch has been turned off. Then you can check all the items in that area of the house by firstly unplugging all items, resetting the fuse board and then switching on each electrical item one by one to see which on is at fault.

Boiler and Heating Issues

Checks we advise to carry out:

• Do you have credit on your gas and electric?
• Is the thermostat turned up?
• Is the timer set?
•  Is the pressure low on the boiler as it may require topping up.
•  If the pilot light has gone out, turn the boiler off and follow the instructions to reignite the boiler.

Leaks

If you have a leak which you cannot contain and if left will cause damage to the property please turn off the water at the mains to the property and call an emergency plumber, in the first instance please use the either of the contacts given below. If the leak can be contained please contact a plumber between the usual working hours of 8am to 5pm and phone the following day if necessary.

Fire Alarm Failure

If the smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors bleep intermittently then you need to replace the battery.
